FESCO

Transport GroupFESCO- the largest Russian intermodal transport operator, which combines the capabilities of sea, rail, road transport and stevedoring services at its own terminals in the largest ports of Russia.

The base company of the group is JSC "Far Eastern Shipping Company". Owns its own fleet, railway, port and terminal complexes on the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. The headquarters of the group is located in Moscow. The Group owns its own fleet with a deadweight of more than 1 million tons, while the container capacity is 32,843TEU, and manages a diversified fleet of its own railway rolling stock numbering over 17 thousand units. Own container fleet is over 50 thousand TEU. The total capacity of port transshipment facilities exceeds 1.6 million TEU.

April 25, 1880 is considered the date of the founding of the shipping company.  The Moscow Volunteer Fleet steamer arrived from Odessa to Vladivostok, which marked the beginning of regular Russian merchant shipping between the ports of European Russia and the Far East. Vasily Esipov, an agent of the Voluntary Fleet Society who arrived on the ship, created a local agency, which later turned into the Far Eastern Shipping Company. It was transformed into a joint-stock company in 1992.
