Compared to the same period in 2017, transfers increased by 31 million rubles. These and other results of activity were announced by the head of Kamchatka Customs Vladimir Karpov at a press conference dedicated to the Day of the Customs Officer of the Russian Federation.

The foreign trade turnover amounted to 185.5 million US dollars.

85% of the trade turnover in the Kamchatka Customs region is occupied byexport. In terms of value, export operations in January-October 2018 reached more than 157 million US dollars. The leading place among exported goods is traditionally occupied by frozen fish and seafood (78%). Nickel concentrate (17% of the total value of exports), scrap and ferrous metal waste (5%) are also exported from Kamchatka.

The cost of imports since the beginning of the year amounted to about 28 million US dollars. Machinery and equipment, floating vehicles predominate among the imported goods (37.5%); packaging materials (paper and cardboard) (27.8%); plastic and rubber products (12.4%); metals and products made of them (6.4%), rope and rope products (5%). That is, those goods that are necessary for the fishing enterprises of the Kamchatka Territory. 

Export-import operations were carried out by 116 participants of foreign economic activity. They have issued 1165 declarations for goods, of which 610 are export, 555 are import.

Foreign economic activity was carried out with 35 countries. The leading trading partner countries were: Japan (34% of the value of trade turnover), the People's Republic of China (32.5%), the Republic of Korea (20%). 

Kamchatka customs officers have issued 988 vessels since the beginning of 2018: 498 sea and 490 air.
