MSC

Mediterranean ShippingCompany (" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" >MSC) is a private shipping company based in Geneva (Switzerland), the second in the world after A.P. Moller-Maersk- by container ship capacity: operates more than 506 vessels, accommodating a total of 3.14 million 20-foot equivalents

The company was founded in 1970 in Naples or In Brussels, the Italian sailor Captain Gianluigi Aponte hails from the Sorrento peninsula in Italy, which is considered a region of true seafarers. The company was engaged in tram transportation with only one second-hand vessel. The ship was called" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" >MSCRafaella. Later, the business was moved due to a more favorable tax system for doing business.

In October 2014, Gianluigi's son, Diego Aponte, who at that time held the position of vice president, took over the company, becoming its president and CEO. A distinctive feature of the company is the corporate family culture and values that remain unchanged throughout the history of the company's development, from an ordinary ship operator to one of the leading shipping companies in the world. 

From the first day of operation, the company followed the philosophy of "We move together with the client", and it was this approach to business that ensured its development and prosperity over the next forty years. As the MSC fleet grew, so did the number of the company's personnel. Many employees use their previously accumulated experience and professional knowledge when working in the ranks of the MSC vessels, are already in the position of a manager or director. This is an example of the manifestation of true devotion, so rare in the field of logistics.
