TRANSSHIPMENT

The condition according to which the marinecarrierhas the right to unload from the vesselcargoor any part of it, store it on the shore, transfer it to another vessel, regardless of whether it belongs to the carrier or not.

Liability may pass from one carrier to another or may be fixed throughbill of ladingon the first carrier.

It is used for changing the shipping line in the transit port for delivery from/to a port not directly served by the line.
